1. Week of Positivity

Our school organized the Week of Positivity on ‘the Power of Yet’ in 2023. The learning week aimed to teach students how to persevere through problems and obstacles with the hope for success. There were theme-based reading lessons, 7-Day Perseverance Challenge booth games, the building of Power of Yet Tree and the exhibition of students’ work. Students learnt the positive values and English in an enjoyable way.

2. English Project

The English Project on Animation and Storytelling is the annual flagship programme of the English Department. Students learn to create paper puppet shows based on the stories they create in writing lessons. There are also pilot lessons on virtual reality, Scratch animation and drama performance. The project benefits our students’ comprehensive language development.

3. Fireside Chat and Storytelling Club

English teachers hold fireside chat sessions to talk casually with students in English on a specific theme or topic. There is also a book club co-organized with Library Department. In the storytelling sessions, teachers read English stories with students and invite their ideas. These activities help enhance students’ language exposure and build a friendly teacher-student relationship.

4. English Choral Speaking

Building upon the encouraging result of the Second Runner-up in KS 1 Mixed Voice Choral Speaking Competition (Tuen Mun and Yuen-Long Districts) of the 70th Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival (2018), we made to be the Champion in the following year!

5. English Debating Team

The English Debating Team formed by P.4 and P.6 students attended regular training workshops to polish their communication and critical thinking skills. The Team achieved outstanding results in various English debating competitions within and outside the District.
